The 2012 Apocalypse was a scary time for everyone because we all thought the world was gonna end. we thought this because we found old Mayan calender’s.
Some scholars spent over ten years to decipher the calendar and once they did they found that the world was gonna end on December 21, 2012. So everyone was scarred because the world was supposed to end. The governments were saying that these were all lies and the Apocalypse is a myth but they thought the apocalypse was real and only said this to calm citizens down. But if your reading this you know the world didn’t end. The reason is that we read the Mayan calendar’s wrong .

Didn’t know they predicted it because of a Mayan calendar that’s pretty cool. I remember 2012 just having an Earthquake and then that was it.

I don’t think that’s how it goes, I think the calendar just ended and people believed that the Mayans predicted global doomsday. People believed this over all the scientific evidence that said otherwise. I don’t think any high up officials actually believed in it.
